The Crossroads staff is made up of all
the animals on campus. Here are some of the main players:
|
 |
Absolute Adonis is a registered Haflinger I
spotted at a local auction. Born on April Fools Day in 1999, he has the
bratty behavior of an adolescent and we nicknamed him Donnie. I loved him
from the first time I saw him and had to take him home.

|
 |
Boo boo a seven-year-old Jack Russell Terrier,
whose previous owners neglected him.
|
|
 |
Mystery is a Great Pyrenees
Mountain Dog. She was found a few years ago, emaciated and it appears that
she had been a mom to many. Mystery stays in the petting zoo area to help
guard the animals. Her story is unknown to us, hence the name Mystery. |
 |
Rambo is a Babydoll wether, which
in layman's terms means a male sheep who has been castrated. He stands true
to his name and will ram you if given the chance, but he is cute and even
cuter when he has all of his wool. |
 |
Lollipop is a wonderful girl. She
can be lead on a leash, though she is a bit rusty. She is a Nubian Goat and
should she get pregnant, she would become a milking goat. |
 |
Penelope is our resident pot
bellied pig, though some may see her as more of a Buck Stove! She is
on a diet and though we are certain she is not happy about it we had to stop
the madness. Her house was made by a local company who has helped support
Crossroads for several years now. |
 |
Cremesicle is our gelded Alpaca.
He is curious and can be led by halter and lead rope. Alpacas are a part of
the Camel family and though they are not a loving friendly animal they are
cool to look at and many use them for their wool. |
 |
Astro is our donkey at stud. He
has great conformation and our goal is to have a few additional mini donkeys
as well as a miniature mule! He is quite loveable! |
 |
Rainbow is a beautiful Golden Red
Pheasant. He is a really neat creature to watch and hangs out with the
Golden Yellow Pheasant. |
